In December, I received a Research Enhancement Program (REP) award. REP is one of the internal grant mechanisms at Texas State University.
This grant will support the development and testing of visuals for improving the awareness of acral lentiginous melanoma (ALM) among dark-skinned individuals. ALM manifests as dark lesions underneath the nails, palms of hands, and soles of feet. I am excited about this opportunity and am looking forward to working on this project over the next year.
